Alec Ybarra is a Director of Photography, experienced in a wide range of filmmaking, from narrative features to documentaries. Alec has a reputation for prioritizing the creation of a visual palette that is always true to the character dynamics of the screenplay. Most recently, he shot a powerful short documentary in the mountains of Peru and lensed the upcoming psychological feature film ‘The Silicant’.  Drawing inspiration from Arthouse cinema, he brings a unique perspective to each film. Outside of filmmaking, Alec enjoys swimming at any of L.A.’s fabulous beaches, traveling, and studying theology.
